Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. The majority of her early years listening to classic music Boleros from the past, traditional ranchero or romantic songs along with classic classical music. Ana is a lover of Tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. At the age 16, she began to sing and study music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began giving her a more intensive singing instruction. She continued her musical training at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. She sang throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a scholar and professional. In 2000, she relocated to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she returned to her new home in Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo with classical Latin American music at private performances. as a music teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in various community-based projects because of her love and passion for music. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor at the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able to share with others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will inspire younger generations to keep the tradition alive.
